Important Notice

All Operators of pleasure Craft fitted with a motor and used for recreational purposes are required by law to have proof of competency on board their vessels at all times by
September 15, 2009.

Proof of competency can take one of three forms:
1) A pleasure Craft operator card
2) Proof of having sucessfully completed a boating safety course in Canada prior
to April 1,1999
3) A completed rental boat safety checklist (rented boats only)

If you operate Pleasure Craft with a motor and do not meet the Transport Canada requirements you may be jeopardizing your Insurance coverage. You can find these requirements at http://www.tc.gc.ca under marine safety.
